High-Speed-SFS with visicontrol

For decades visicontrol intensly works on meeting market demands of new and innovative technologies. Advancing the advantages of established technologies like shape from shading (SFS) is one of the resulting innovations.
With our new and improved hardware system MVS-70 combined with our better and faster Light Controler LC-70, visicontrol masters today over 400 parts per minute dynamically with SFS technology. We still improve this performance to support our customers in their competitive markets.

With SFS we are able to detect defects even on shiny surfaces, which are invisible to other inspection methods like conventional incident light. Within a pseudo-3D-image the topology of defects become visible and detectable. With directed lighting and our innovative progam parameters, we are able to inspect and classify component surfaces. Monitoring speed is directly linked to component costs. To reach the sub-cent level for inspection costs, our customers demand for inspection methods like high-speed SFS. This technology is not limited to sorting machines like the visiSort-product family, but can also be used for in-line-solutions of visicontrol.
