To cover the subject of lighting, which is elementary for (almost) every image processing system, e.g. the MVS-40 integrates a light controller with four lighting channels. This basic configuration allows many applications to be implemented without extra lighting electronics. The extremely fast and industrial multi-processor hardware of the MVS-40 provides modular interfaces for standard and full-frame cameras and can process the data from two image sources almost in real time, i.e. simultaneously.
In order for the MVS-40 to be integrated in almost any imaginable application, extensive PLC functions and a host of interfaces for sensors and actuators are part of the package. COM connections, interfaces for printers, incremental encoders and a lighting system are also included. Programming and operating the image processing system requires no additional hardware. The entire programming and operating software is located in a non-volatile EEPROM. A major advantage of the purely hardware solution are the very short access times. The programming software visiTeach® is self-explanatory, clearly structured and guides the user interactively and without a cryptic programming language through to the measuring program.
