Surface inspection with visiSort-G

It is often necessary in rotation-symmetric parts to find errors on the generated surface. For 100% inspection visicontrol has expanded its visiSort series to include a visiSort-G to solve this task. Depending on the size of parts, 30-50 tests per minute can be completed automatically.

For example, deep-drawn parts are separated in a VisiSort-G using a vibratory hopper conveyor pot and picked up from an accumulating conveyor by a gripper. First the part is tested in terms of dimension and then batched off. Several line cameras are used in parallel to accelerate the test.

The visiSort-G can be switched in series with other systems such as the visiSort-T. The component inspected is then transferred via belts to the downstream system. Videos of the applications can be found in the Solutions/Videos section.

Semi-Automatic Machines

A sample test station does not cope with 100% inspection given small quantities and frequent type exchange, while an automatic sorting system is not flexible and cost-effective under these circumstances.

An efficient solution involves the use of a semi-automatic test station from visicontrol. The parts are placed manually. Testing starts automatically according to predefined criteria. The semi-automatic machine opens or closes an in-spec or out-of-spec drop chute depending on the test result. In this manner it is ensured that no erroneous assignment can occur during the manual removal of test specimens. Removal can also take place automatically using a gripper if needed. Data is saved and can be analyzed statistically and displayed. An output is also possible in the higher-level QM system. Furthermore, even a manual gage inspection in the production itself can be replaced with these test stations.

The semi-automatic machine is designed visually according to customer specifications. The instrument is transportable and robust and allows quick location change.

Donation to Hilfe für Körper- und Mehrfachbehinderte e.V., Weingarten

This year as well visicontrol is not sending Christmas gifts but is donating a corresponding amount to the Hilfe für Körper- und Mehrfachbehinderte e.V. (registered association involved in helping those with physical and multiple disabilities) in Weingarten:   www.vbh-wgt.de.
The goal of this association is to assist the disabled in their activities as they are not taken into account in the usual budgets of organizations. By supporting this non-profit organization, we hope to act in accordance with the wishes of our business partners as well. Testing and sorting of plastic injection-molded parts (car keys) for dimensional accuracy and flaws. The parts are placed manually. Testing starts automatically. The parts are removed manually and thrown into a drop chute. The system opens/closes the in-spec container depending on the test result. This prevents erroneous assignment.   Transfer of donation
